Almost at the end of another year (fiscal year that is!) - lots of people and organisations are extremely busy this time of year, making sure that they are ready for the new year - debts settled and preparations made for a new year...

The bible says: "Prepare to meet thy God" (Amos 4:12)

How much of a priority is this in our lives? Thought provoking isn't it. The trouble is, we often go no further than to agree that yes, it is thought provoking... but eternity lays ahead of each and every one of us.

Heaven is ahead of all those who have made this vital preparation.

Be prepared!

The photo above was taken outside Marine Hall on 4th May 1910 - that's 105 years ago! How wonderful to think that God has preserved his testimony here for so long. The two scripture texts on either side are still relevant for each individual in today's society - because they have come from God's Word, which is unchanging.

The verses are:

1: The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord

2: God commendeth his love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

If you have any information on who is in the picture then please let us know; it would be great to find out! :)
